Dear Conference Participants,
In a few days, we will hold Traveling Texts: Translation and Globalization—the Kritika Kultura International Conference (KKIC) 2012—and we are looking forward to seeing you at the Ateneo de Manila University.
We would like to remind you of the following items:
Payment of registration fee. All participants are encouraged to pay their registration (P500) through any Metrobank branch nationwide. Accomplish a Bills Payment Form; write ATENEO DE MANILA UNIVERSITY as the COMPANY NAME, and 141 as the SUBSCRIBER NUMBER. Payments will be received until August 9, 2012.
Confirmation of attendance. Confirm your attendance by responding to this email on or before August 4, 2012. Include in your email a scanned copy of the payment form done via Metrobank. You may also fax the form to 426-6120 (attention line: “KKIC 2012”). If you are unable to confirm your attendance via email or fax, please present your validated Bills Payment Form when you register at the conference.
DePEd and CHED Memos. Should you need the Department of Education advisory or the Commission on Higher Education memorandum, you may download them from kritikakulturaconference.wordpress.com.
Registration procedures. The procedures are attached in this email. Conference staff will be there to assist you at the registration area in Leong Hall.
Kits. Each participant will receive a bag containing conference particulars, paper abstracts, and pen and paper. You will also be given an identification card which you are required to wear within Ateneo de Manila University premises. Pre-registered and paid participants will be prioritized in the distribution of kits.
Traveling to Ateneo de Manila University. Traffic approaching the university builds up between 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. every day except Sunday; kindly allocate ample time for travel to Ateneo.
Parking. Slots for conference participants at the Ateneo Cornfield Parking (near Gate 3, beside Miriam College) are available on a first come, first served basis. Kindly inform the guards that you are participating in the conference (a map of the university will be sent to you after this email).
Food. The conference charges a minimal fee; however, we are not offering any food provisions. You may opt to have your meals at the Gonzaga Cafeteria (refer to map to be sent to you following this email) or try out the establishments along Katipunan Avenue.
We wish you a fruitful time at the conference and a pleasant stay on campus!
